These coomunication and dissemination means have been identified by the project communication strategy as a powerful mean to communicate more effectively with policy people and to engage in real dialogue with users and potential beneficiaries.
In this context, the LIFE Program general objective for the communication highlight the added value of the European intervention. Four operational objectives are recognized at LIFE Unit level:
- better exploitation of the projects results, in keeping with the logic of the 6th Community Environment Action Programme and consequently improve their circulation and thematic dissemination so as to encourage the transfer of the lessons of the projects to other users, other policies and even the European legislative process;
- involve the beneficiary States of LIFE to a greater extent, by giving them an active role in the improvement of the communication on LIFE. This means development of a coherent communication strategy at national level through the presentation of the economic and environmental benefits of LIFE projects at national level;
- implement specific communication activities for the candidate countries, through greater participation of these countries in the LIFE instrument.
Romania is the best example from the candidate countries, with an important experience on LIFE projects, on 2 stands . Environment and Nature.
- increase the institutional and general visibility of LIFE by projecting a positive overall image of the programme, at European level, at Member States level as well as the general public.
